1 Leader's Guide included in the Rio Basics Kit. The Rio Leader's guide walks the leader through the lesson flow with clearly marked sections and an emphasis on enabling the leader to teach from the overflow of their own heart. Rio lessons are flexible, easy-to follow and have some great components that you and your kids will love. Take a look at a typical lesson flow: Heart Prep: The first step in the lesson invites leaders to reflect on the Bible passages and allow God to work in their own hearts first. Connect: It provides a context for the leaders to get to know their kids and their families. And it invites kids to get to know each other and their leader too. BreakOUT: Optional activities that you can use to customize the Rio experience to fit your church, your leaders, your kids. Each of these thematic activities is also available on a BreakOUT card. Into The Word: Gets kids into their Bibles and listening to what God has to say to them—all within the context of God's big picture. Go Deep: A time to pause, ponder and respond to God's Word. Rio does this through quiet reflection, Activity Pages, prayer, worship, and joyful praise. Reconnect: Brings the lesson full-circle. Kids and leaders connect relationally and are reminded of God's goodness as seen in each Rio lesson.
